Atlantis Cue Shop Review - Cue Retailer & Service in Johor Bahru

Last updated: 30 September 2026

Atlantis Cue Shop is a specialist cue retailer located at Eco Palladium Block A-03-10, Jalan Ekoflora, Taman Ekoflora in Johor Bahru. Unlike the many playing halls in JB, Atlantis is primarily a retail and service operation focused on cue accessories and cue servicing. For players in southern Malaysia and Singapore who need equipment, repairs, or expert advice on their cues, this is one of the dedicated options in the region.

Cue Accessories and Retail

Atlantis Cue Shop stocks a range of cue accessories for both snooker and pool players. While the full inventory is not comprehensively documented online, specialist cue shops in Malaysia typically carry tips, ferrules, chalk, cue cases, extensions, and replacement shafts alongside complete cues. The advantage of visiting a specialist shop rather than ordering online is the ability to handle products before buying -- particularly important for cues, where balance, weight, and feel are deeply personal.

For players who are unsure what to look for when buying a cue, our cue selection guide covers the key decisions: ash versus maple, tip diameter, weight ranges, joint types, and Malaysian pricing from budget (RM88) through to premium handmade options (RM1,000+).

Cue Servicing

Beyond retail, Atlantis Cue Shop offers cue servicing, which is one of the more valuable aspects of a specialist cue shop. Common servicing needs include tip replacement, ferrule repair, shaft straightening, re-wrapping the grip, and refinishing. These are skilled tasks that require proper tools and experience -- attempting them at home without the right equipment often causes more damage than it fixes.

A well-maintained cue plays noticeably better than a neglected one. Tips harden and lose their grip on the cue ball over time, ferrules can crack from impact, and shafts can develop warps from improper storage or humidity exposure. Malaysia's tropical climate, with humidity levels routinely hitting 70-90%, is particularly hard on wooden cues. Having a local servicing option in JB saves southern Malaysia players the trouble of shipping cues to KL-based shops.

Connection to Pegasus Snooker Academy

The phone number for Atlantis Cue Shop (+60 11-1003 1818) is shared with Pegasus Snooker Academy, another JB-based cue sports establishment that focuses on coaching and training. This suggests a close operational relationship or shared ownership between the two businesses. Players interested in both equipment and coaching can potentially access both services through the same contact, making it convenient for those who want a comprehensive approach to improving their game.

Location at Eco Palladium

Eco Palladium is a mixed-use development in Taman Ekoflora, an area in Johor Bahru. The shop is on the third floor (A-03-10), so it is not a ground-floor street-facing retail unit. This type of location keeps rental costs lower, which can mean better pricing for customers, but it also means the shop is less visible to passing foot traffic. If you are visiting for the first time, you will need the specific block and unit number to find it.

The Taman Ekoflora area is accessible by car and has parking within the Eco Palladium development. It is not in the heart of JB city centre, so factor in travel time if you are coming from other parts of the city.

Comparing JB Equipment Options

Johor Bahru is not as densely packed with cue retailers as the Klang Valley, where shops like Cue Station in Berjaya Times Square and Immortal Cue Station's multiple branches give KL and Selangor players plenty of choice. In JB, Atlantis Cue Shop fills an important niche as a dedicated equipment retailer. The alternative for JB players is purchasing online or combining a visit to a playing venue like OneCue Snooker JB with any retail they might offer on-site.

Potential Drawbacks

• Not a playing venue -- this is retail and servicing only
• Third-floor location in a mixed-use development is not immediately visible
• Product range and pricing not comprehensively listed online
• Operating hours not publicly confirmed -- call ahead before visiting
