DJ Snooker Academy Review - Snooker Training Centre in Senawang

Last updated: 30 September 2026

DJ Snooker Academy holds the distinction of being the first and largest snooker training centre in Negeri Sembilan. Based in Senawang, near Seremban, the academy goes beyond being a regular playing hall by positioning itself as a development-focused venue with coaching, a cafe on-site, and a track record of hosting state-level events including the Celebrities Tournament 2.0.

Training and Coaching at DJ Snooker Academy

The "Academy" designation here appears to be more than branding. DJ Snooker positions itself as a training centre, which implies structured coaching, practice programmes, or at least an environment geared towards player development rather than purely casual play. While we could not confirm the specific coaching staff, their qualifications, or the structure of training programmes, the venue's reputation as the largest training facility in the state suggests a meaningful commitment to development.

For players in Negeri Sembilan who are serious about improving their game, having a dedicated training environment is valuable. Standard halls serve the purpose of playing frames, but a training centre typically offers more focused practice conditions, potentially including solo practice access, coaching sessions, and a community of players who are also working on their game. If you are looking to develop your technique, our guide on choosing the right cue covers how equipment affects your development.

State-Level Event Hosting

DJ Snooker Academy has hosted the Celebrities Tournament 2.0, which indicates a venue large enough and well-equipped enough to run organised competitive events. State-level tournaments require adequate table quality, space for spectators, and the organisational capacity to manage brackets and schedules. The fact that DJ Snooker has been selected for such events is a credibility marker.

For competitive players, this means DJ Snooker is connected to the Negeri Sembilan snooker community at an organisational level. If you are looking to enter local tournaments or connect with the competitive circuit, this is a logical starting point. The venue may also host or promote future events, so keeping in touch via phone at +60 18-267 7074 could keep you informed of upcoming competitions.

Cafe and Social Environment

The on-site cafe is a practical addition that sets DJ Snooker apart from many Malaysian snooker halls. Having food and drinks available without leaving the venue improves the overall experience, particularly for players who spend several hours practising or competing. It also makes the venue more welcoming for social groups and casual visitors who want a relaxed environment.

Immortal Cue Retail Partnership

DJ Snooker Academy is listed as a retail partner for Immortal Cue Station, Malaysia's largest cue sports retail network with 21 branches nationwide. This partnership means you can likely purchase cues and accessories at the venue, though the specific inventory available at this location is not documented. Having retail access at a training centre is convenient, as coaches can potentially help you select equipment that suits your developing technique.

What We Cannot Confirm

Several operational details about DJ Snooker Academy are not publicly available. Operating hours are not published, and pricing for sessions or coaching is not listed. The number of tables, table specifications, and smoking policy are unknown. The SECC Convention Centre address in Senawang is confirmed, but specific directions or parking information are not available online.

We recommend calling +60 18-267 7074 before visiting to confirm hours, availability, and any coaching session scheduling.

Who Should Visit DJ Snooker Academy

DJ Snooker Academy is best suited for players who want more than just a table to play on. If you are seeking coaching, structured training, or a pathway into competitive snooker in Negeri Sembilan, this is the most purposeful venue in the state. The cafe and social environment also make it suitable for groups and casual visitors who want a comfortable setting.

For players who prioritise WPBSA-standard tables and late-night access, First Q Snooker in Seremban 2 offers professional-grade conditions until 6 AM. For table maintenance services, One Cues Trading handles installation, re-clothing, and repairs across West Malaysia. Between these three venues, Negeri Sembilan offers a surprisingly complete snooker ecosystem for a smaller state.
