Cue 8 Snooker Academy Review - Snooker Hall in Labu, Negeri Sembilan

Last updated: 30 September 2026

Cue 8 Snooker Academy is a snooker venue in Negeri Sembilan located in the Irama Sendayan commercial area of Labu. The "Academy" designation is notable: it signals an intent to focus on player development rather than purely recreational play. The venue spans three shop lots (48-1 to 50-1), indicating a sizeable space that can accommodate multiple tables with proper spacing, an important factor for any venue that takes snooker seriously.

Sendayan: A Growing Area

Sendayan is one of Negeri Sembilan's fastest-growing townships, located between Seremban and the Nilai-KLIA corridor. The area has seen significant residential and commercial development in recent years, with new housing estates, schools, and commercial centres springing up to serve a rapidly expanding population. A snooker academy in this growth corridor is well-positioned to attract new players, particularly younger residents moving into the area's many new housing developments.

The Irama Sendayan commercial centre where Cue 8 is located provides the supporting infrastructure that a snooker academy needs: ample parking, nearby food options, and good road connectivity. Labu itself sits along the main routes between Seremban and Nilai, making it accessible from both towns. For players commuting from further afield, the PLUS highway and ELITE highway are both within reasonable reach.

Academy Approach

The academy model in Malaysian snooker is still developing. Unlike countries with long-established snooker traditions like the UK, Malaysia's academy scene is relatively young. Venues that brand themselves as academies typically offer some combination of structured coaching, practice programmes, and a playing environment geared toward improvement rather than just casual recreation.

Cue 8's specific training services are not confirmed in our research. However, the three-lot size and academy branding suggest ambition. In Negeri Sembilan, DJ Snooker Academy in Senawang is the state's most established training centre, so Cue 8 enters a market with some precedent. For players deciding between venues, it is worth visiting both to compare coaching quality and table conditions. Beginners can prepare by reading our snooker rules guide, while those ready to invest in equipment should consult our cue buying guide.

Nearby Options

Negeri Sembilan offers a decent range of snooker venues for its size. M1 Snooker on Jalan Rasah in Seremban opens from 11 AM and also has a Nilai branch, making it a good option for players who prefer earlier hours or a more central Seremban location. First Q Snooker in Seremban 2 is WPBSA-registered and operates extended hours until 6 AM. One Cues Trading provides specialist table services for hall operators and home table owners.

For players in the Labu and Sendayan area specifically, Cue 8 offers the advantage of proximity. Not having to drive into Seremban city centre for a game saves time and hassle, especially during peak traffic hours. As the Sendayan area continues to develop, the local demand for recreational facilities like snooker is likely to grow, which should benefit Cue 8's long-term viability. Players considering a home table can explore options in our table buying guide and check room size requirements.
